Youth Gathering in Atlanta
In July 2003, eight young people, two adult chaperones and one young adult volunteer went to Atlanta to join 25,000 other ELCA youth from around the United States for the ELCA Youth Gathering. The theme for the 2003 Gathering was "Do Life! Ubuntu." Through ubuntu (an African word that literally means "humanity"), we can see a way to do life in such a way that God is glorified in and through our very humanness, and understand that "I am because we are. We are because Christ is."

We left Cedarburg at 6am Monday morning and arrived at the downtown Atlanta Hyatt, ready to Do Life. Ubuntu! |
