Circle Groups
There are two women's Bible studies that meet once
a month from September through May. All women of the
church are welcome to join or attend any of the
circles -- many new friendships are formed, and it's a great
way to get to know other women from our congregation.
Martha Circle meets the second
Saturday of the month at 9am at Lasata Heights.

Ruth Circle meets the
second Tuesday of the month at 9:30am at church. They enjoy coffee and a light snack, and then they have their study. They are studying Romans 13 in February.

Pre-Communion Instruction
A pre-Communion class is taught by Pastor Brent in the fall to prepare 5th-graders to receive the Lord's Supper.
"Question of the Week" group
This group meets most Wednesdays at 6:30pm (see the Calendar for specific dates). The questions, which are in reference to the upcoming Sunday's Gospel lesson, are printed in the bulletin the Sunday before and are also emailed out for personal reflection. The group then meets on Wednesday night to answer and discuss these questions or some related subject of the group's choosing.
Here are the questions for Feb. 12, based on Mark 1:40-45 (2 Kings 5:1-14):
- Lepers were not allowed to touch or be touched. How would this man have felt after being touched by Jesus? How does being touched affect you?
- Jesus crossed a boundary by touching the leper. In what other ways did Jesus cross boundaries?
- Why do you think Jesus wanted to keep this miracle a secret? Was he being realistic?
- Jesus reshaped the man's life. Do you ever feel that God is reshaping you? How?
- Compare and contrast the story in 2 Kings with the story in Mark.
For more information on Question of the Week, please contact Dennis Schultz,
dennis@trinitycedarburg.org.
Sunday School
All children from 3 years old through 6th grade are welcome to attend Sunday School, which meets at 10:15 each Sunday morning from the beginning of September through mid May.
Lessons for February:
- Feb. 5: Jesus Heals (Mark 1:29-39)
- Feb. 12: Naaman is Healed (2 Kings 5:1-19)
- Feb. 19: The Transfiguration (Mark 9:2-9)
- Feb. 26: Noah's Ark
The Spark take-home family sheets will be sent home with each child every week. They provide ways to talk about and have some fun with the lesson covered that day. They have ideas for both younger children and older children. Sheets will be available on the handout table for those who miss a Sunday.
A new series of children's bulletins will be used this month. They also follow the lectionary, but include a variety of activities geared to children ages 4-6.
Lenten focus: Banks will be distributed to each child prior to Ash Wednesday. We are asking that children place some coin in the bank each day of Lent (40 days). They are then to be brought to Sunday School to be pooled together. The children will help determine where the offering is to be sent. Look for family Lenten devotion booklets on the handout table.
To volunteer or to learn more about our Sunday School program, please contact Dennis Schultz,
dennis@trinitycedarburg.org.
Teen Time
Teen Time, for youth in grades 7 and up, takes place on Sundays at 10:15am. The group meets in the Youth Room at church -- and may walk to a coffee shop, a park or wherever they feel like that day -- and then has group discussions. Led by Jeanne Mueller and Jeff Miller, this is a fun, relaxing, faith-building opportunity for the youth.
