Music Opportunities

Music is an important part of the worship experience at Trinity. There are many ways to get involved in the music ministry. (Unless otherwise noted, these choirs rehearse and provide music for worship services September through May.)

Chapel Choir
Through music, we joyfully express our faith and strengthen our spiritual life. Chapel Choir sings for services two to three Sundays per month, and participates in Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Holy Week and Easter Sunday services, as well as a special service of Lessons and Carols in December.

Anyone who loves to sing and can carry a tune is welcome -- from high-school age on up. Reading music is NOT a requirement.
Director: Ingrid Pierson, ingridpierson@gmail.com
Rehearsal Times: Wednesdays at 7:15pm (Thursdays during Lent), late August to early June

Please contact Ingrid if you're interested in the following opportunities to share your musical talent with Trinity:

  • Summer Choir: Anyone is welcome to sing in an ad hoc choir in summer. We sing one Sunday each during July and August with rehearsals on Sunday mornings before service. If you've been mildly curious about what it would be like to sing in a choir, this is your chance to give it a try.
  • Trinity Brass and Instrumentalists: Do you play an instrument? Share your talent during worship! The Trinity Band plays for Christmas Day, Easter, the outdoor service in August, and occasionally at other services. High-school student instrumentalists have the opportunity to lead worship periodically, and individual musicians as well as small groups are welcome to participate any time.
  • Special Music: There are many opportunities for soloists and instrumentalists to participate during worship services throughout the year.

Handbell Choir
Come and join us in ringing our praise to God! Musical background is helpful but not necessary. One should be willing to commit to regular attendance at rehearsals. Handbells play monthly at a Sunday service and for some special services (Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and/or Easter).
Director: Deb Donovan, donodeb@yahoo.com
Rehearsal Times: Wednesdays at 6:30pm, September to early June

Youth Musicals
Youth in grades 1-8 from the mutual ministry churches in Cedarburg are invited to participate in the annual youth musical, usually presented on a Sunday in spring, both during the service and as an encore presentation after the service.
